Garcia's accountability agenda, led by Trump family and Epstein

The Daily Beast leads one piece with Garcia's "Lawyer up" warning, headlined "Triumphant Dem Gives 'Trump Crime Family' Two-Word Warning." A second piece, written after Tuesday's "blue wave," puts Donald Trump Jr. and Jeffrey Epstein at the top of the target list, quoting Garcia: "The Trump crime family is the top of our investigative priorities." It cites the New York Times on Don Jr. and CNBC on JPMorgan's ties to Epstein.

A Don Jr. spokesperson says he "has broken no laws," and a JPMorgan spokesperson says the bank did not help Epstein commit his crimes. The Daily Beast also notes Garcia's push to Todd Blanche over the Epstein files. PBS NewsHour interviews Garcia, expected to become House Oversight chairman, under a headline in which he says voters gave Democrats a mandate to pursue accountability.

Garcia tells host Liz Landers that Democrats intend to start a series of investigations without delay.

The Post Millennial says Democrats "gleefully plan" to target the Trump family crypto firm World Liberty Financial, citing Garcia on Punchbowl News and a 181-page staff dossier, and notes Raskin downplayed how far they will go against businesses. The Washington Examiner reports Judiciary Democrats and left-leaning legal groups are already recruiting staff, and says this raises questions about how investigations fit with promises to focus on affordability.

It quotes Jeffries saying Americans do not want Democrats to get even, and a Democratic strategist who says the party will follow evidence of wrongdoing.
